Larry's Acrylic Monotype 6" X 6"

My entry came via much trial and error, first working with encaustics and then with acrylic paints which I found more adapted to expressing vivid colors and textures with greater and more predictable results. The leaf like textures were created by the use of thick paint and then slowly lifting the watercolor paper from the glass plate. As I began to explorer the medium I saw patterns emerge and experimented until I reached this image which I see as chaos, confusion and danger. However, the wonderful nature of abstracts allows viewers to draw their own conclusion.
